Bryan Pollock, Countertenor
Countertenor Bryan Pollock has performed in over thirteen fully‐staged operatic productions with lead roles such as Oberon from Benjamin Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream and Orfeo from Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice. His recent performances include the role of Giulio Cesare from Händel’s Guilio Cesare in Egitto with The Hawaii Performing Arts Festival and the role of Endimione from Cavalli’s La Calisto with the Pacific Opera Project. Additionally he has given numerous art song recitals and has performed in a variety of choral venues.
Mr. Pollock earned degrees in voice performance from East Carolina University and the University of California, Irvine. In 2009 he studied abroad in Florence and Austria where he completed the Canta in Italia and the Franz‐Schubert‐Institut summer programs. He is in his first year of attendance at Boston University working on a DMA in voice performance under the vocal direction of Dr. Lynn Eustis. This summer he will work and perform as an Apprentice Artist with Opera Saratoga’s Young Artist Program.
